Born in Venice, Italy, Marco Comin is considered one of the most exciting and versatile conductors of the last generations. He is not only a sought after concert and opera conductor but also a highly appreciated baroque specialist. His comunicative passion and eloquent naturalness blend into engaging, sensitive and refined interpretations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his hometown Comin studied piano and composition at the Conservatorio di Musica \u201cB. Marcello\u201d as well as history at the Ca\u2019 Foscari University. He then moved to Berlin to study orchestra conducting at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik \u201cHans Eisler\u201d and he graduated in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same year Marco Comin was appointed second Kapellmeister at the Deutsches Nationatheater Weimar where he celebrated his first successes. Only three years later he became first Kapellmeister and vice General Music Director of the Kassel State Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2012 and 2017 he was Chief Conductor of the G\u00e4rtnerplatz State Theatre in Munich. Under his guidance the orchestra there flourished and received unprecedented praise in the press and among the audience. In addition to being highly acclaimed for his interpretations of operas from the eighteenth to the twentieth century (particularly by Mozart, Verdi, and Britten), Marco Comin finally made a name for himself as a Baroque interpret. A deep connoisseur of the performance practice and the musical rhetoric of the baroque period, he infused his orchestra an exquisite historically informed style. Together they delivered brilliant performances of Handel\u2019s and Purcell\u2019s works as well as instrumental concerts series initiated by Comin himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marco Comin is guest conductor of the Stuttgart State Opera, the Budapest State Opera, the Aalto Theatre (Essen), the Bremen Theatre and the Graz Opera. Furthermore he\u2019s conducted concerts, among others, with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, S\u00fcdwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, the Mecklenburgischen Staatskapelle, the Augsburger Philharmoniker and the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
